Dr. George Willeford III is Board Certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Willeford joins Point of Care Health Services as Chief Medical Director after a long-standing career with a well-known Austin-area gastroenterology group where his dedication to science, medicine and individual attention helped countless patients enjoy a better quality of life. Dr. Willeford attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. He completed his internship and residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital and the Dallas VA Hospital. Dr. Willeford has a strong devotion to healthcare in this country. He has practiced medicine in Austin since 1980, is a part of a major pharmaceutical Covid-19 virus vaccine trial, and now lends his expertise to helping patients and employers across America get back to living by supplying necessary data and in the form of test results, as well as life-saving vaccinations so as to limit contagion of the threatening Covid-19 virus, among various other viral illnesses.
Wendy Garner, CEO of POCHS, has a background in healthcare administration, strategy, logistics, revenue cycle management, contract negotiations, device-intensive procedures & program management, marketing/ advertising/ PR, scheduling, as well as staff management and development. She has a certified medical assistant license and hands-on experience with patients and clinical staff in clinics, surgery centers and hospitals with a combined 20 years in finance and healthcare administration.
Wendy has been active with Capital Area Food Bank, Austin Pets Alive and Mobile Loaves and Fishes in the community through National Charity League and is a tribal member of The Comanche Nation.
